Peninsula man strikes plea deal for role in fatal 2022 Vacaville shooting

A co-defendant charged in an August shooting in Vacaville that killed one man and wounded another struck a plea deal Friday in Solano County Superior Court Jeremy Dante Love Fisher of Pacifica appeared in Department in the Justice Center in Fairfield for preliminary hearing proceedings in the incident but entered no-contest plea to armed robbery and using a deadly weapon Jeremy D L Fisher years at sentencing which Getty set for p m July in Department Fisher and co-defendant Damien Maurice Jones Jr are charged in the Aug fatal shooting of Cristian Medina and the wounding and attempted his balcony when the shots rang out then saw two accused running and chasing a man named Julio Jimenez declared he rushed downstairs afterward to Julio s apartment but did not see the subjects but heard a car s tires screeching While on the balcony he saw Cristian and Julio standing in the parking lot and hearing three sets of gunshots He reported he went to Julio s apartment saw a trail of blood near the doorway and once inside the apartment saw Julio s forearm wrapped up in a towel Jimenez testified that he saw only one suspect with a firearm and both wore hoodies information he gave to police In her cross-examination Beekman referring to a police document mentioned Jimenez advised officers he heard two sets of shots but Jimenez noting the actions occurred rapidly and more than two years ago declared it was the third set when he saw the persons and Julio running As previously informed court records show that around p m Aug Vacaville police officers responded to a statement of a shooting in the block of Markham Avenue Afterward two casualties Medina and a second man were taken to an area hospital where Medina died of his wounds The other victim made a full recovery
